The Wings for Life World Run will once again take place in Austria in 2025. The starting gun for this spectacular running event will once again sound in Vienna, the capital of Austria. This means that Austrians will also have the opportunity to be part of the world's largest running event. Be there when many thousands of runners around the world start at the same time at the Wings for Life World Run and compete for the title of the first Wings for Life World Run Champion.
The Wings for Life World Run takes place in Austria in Vienna and is a gigantic running spectacle. Across 5 continents and 40 countries, many thousands of runners take to the starting line at the same time to run for those who can no longer do so themselves due to a spinal cord injury. It doesn't matter whether it's night or day, raining or sunny. The Wings for Life World Run is all about taking part! This makes the Wings for Life World Run not only the biggest running event of all time, but also a huge charity event in which you automatically take part. All proceeds go 100% to the Wings for Life Foundation, which supports promising research projects to find a cure for paraplegia.
But that's not all. The Wings for Life World Run surprises runners all over the world with an innovative running concept. The aim is to escape the so-called ‘catcher cars’ for as long as possible. True to the motto: ‘Run as long as you can’. As soon as there is only one man and one woman left in the world, the race is over and the Wings for Life World Run champions are crowned.
