Year after year, the Kaiserkrone Trail is one of the absolute top sporting events in the trail running scene, promising pure thrills and attracting all the top runners from the international running scene. There are a total of four main trails to choose from on the Kaiserkrone Trail, which appeal to runners of different ability levels - from beginners to absolute ultra runners for whom it can't be hard enough. While the so-called Easy Trail with its 14 km and 490 metres of altitude difference is really moderate, the other runs are really tough. At 20 km (Speed Trail), 24.9 km (Marathon Trail) and the Kaiserkrone Skyrace (56.3 km), the distances are truly impressive. There are also plenty of metres in altitude to conquer, with the main race covering 2,740 metres. In addition, the nature of the running course itself is very challenging, which is why you should definitely have some experience in high alpine trail running. It goes without saying that you need to be in top form to take part in the Kaiserkrone Trail.
