The StraLugano Swiss City Run is a top-class sporting event that is organised every year in the city of the same name, Lugano in Switzerland. This Swiss running classic attracts the international running elite, which is a clear sign of the reputation of this first-class running event. The StraLugano Swiss City Run has been organised since 2006 and now welcomes over 6,000 participants every year.

The StraLugano Swiss City Run offers a choice of four running distances that appeal to runners of different abilities. For beginners, the 5 km Fast Run is the ideal way to take part in a competition for the first time. Experienced runners, on the other hand, can use the short and flat distance to try for a new course record. The Challenge Race is a bit more challenging, as the 9 km run to the summit restaurant includes a whopping 730 metres of elevation gain. The 10 km City Run is a classic city run that takes you past many of the sights that Lugano has to offer. The half marathon, on the other hand, offers all top athletes the opportunity to set a new personal best time in a half marathon. The running course is not only beautiful, but also very flat, even and asphalted throughout. All the running routes at the StraLugano Swiss City Run have one thing in common - they run directly along the 2.5 km long lake promenade, which means you can always enjoy a fantastic view during the run that you won't soon forget.
