Description

The Spreewald Marathon has been organised in the beautiful Burg im Spreewald in Brandenburg since 2003. Every year, thousands of participants from Berlin and Brandenburg flock to the Spreewald Marathon to take part in this scenically impressive marathon event. Numerous races of different distances are organised as part of the Spreewald Marathon, meaning that there is a suitable race for every participant.

The special thing about the Spreewald Marathon is the variety on offer during this running weekend. The Spreewald Marathon emphasises variety not only in terms of the disciplines on offer, but also in terms of the running routes. Depending on the discipline, you will run through different places in the Spreewald and the famous biosphere reserve. This gives you the unique opportunity to get to know the Spreewald from its most beautiful side. The highlight of the Spreewald Marathon is of course the marathon itself, in which Marchand Abdelkebir (male, 2005, 2:23:00) and Christin Marx (female, 2003, 3:03:24) hold the course records.
