The Mud Masters Obstacle Run in Weeze is not only one of the largest obstacle races in Europe, but also the first marathon obstacle race of its kind. Former marines were inspired by the most challenging obstacle courses on the planet and created one of the toughest races of its kind with the Mud Masters Obstacle Run. The Mud Masters Obstacle Run is aimed at both men and women and is suitable for beginners as well as true die-hards.
In 2025, the Mud Masters Obstacle Run will take place in Weeze for the 10th time on the grounds of the former airfield. The location is known among obstacle racers for its extreme obstacle elements, such as the infamous hangars. To complete the course, you need all-around fitness, endurance, and most importantly, team spirit—because that’s what Mud Masters is all about. With 6, 12, 16, or even 42 kilometers, Mud Masters offers the right challenge for every fitness level. This way, the obstacle run becomes an unforgettable experience for all participants. The 100 strongest obstacle racers in Europe will face the Mud Masters Marathon.
The route includes the 18-kilometer course completed two and a half times, amounting to a total distance of 42.195 kilometers. This extreme test of body and mind has already been tackled in the past by special forces from the police and military, as well as ultra runners. At the Mud Masters Obstacle Run, the focus is on teamwork. The goal is to cross the finish line together, and the motto is: “No (wo)man behind.”
