Trail running in perfection, that's the Matterhorn Ultraks in Zermatt, Switzerland. The Matterhorn Ultraks has been taking place since 2013 and has developed into a trail run that consistently inspires the international running elite.
A trail running adventure of superlatives awaits you at the Matterhorn Ultraks, which you should definitely not miss out on. Extremely challenging running passages are just as much a part of the Matterhorn Ultraks as unique mountain panoramas that you are guaranteed never to forget in your life. There are four different distances on offer: Vertical (2.3 km), Active (19 km), Mountain (32 km) and Sky (49 km). Even the trail run for beginners covers a whopping 655 metres in altitude. Those of you who take on the professional event will not only have to cover more than a marathon, but also 3,600 metres in altitude. The routes for this mountain run are all very challenging, which is why you should already have plenty of experience in trail running and mountain running if you want to take part in the Matterhorn Ultraks.
