ADAC Hannover Marathon

Description

The ADAC Marathon Hannover is one of the biggest running events in Germany and has been held every year since 1991. Participants are offered maximum variety at this running event. In addition to the Hannover Marathon (main race), various other races such as the half marathon, the marathon relay or a 10km race are also organised.

The Hannover Marathon has a very flat course (only 20 metres of elevation gain), which makes the Hannover Marathon very fast. Overall, the Hannover Marathon is one of the most popular running events in Germany in terms of the number of participants and ranks among the top 10 largest running events every year. In 2024, more than 20,000 participants took part in this event. The course runs in a circular route through Hanover and past a number of sights.

The course record for the Hannover Marathon is held by Lusapho April, South Africa (m) with a time of 2:08:32.
