The Great Scottish Run is a legendary running event that has been organised since 1979 and is known far beyond the borders of Scotland and Great Britain. In total, around 20,000 participants take part in the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow every year.
There are two running distances to choose from at the Great Scottish Run. On the one hand, you can take part in the 10 km fun run or the half marathon, which is also the main race of the Great Scottish Run. The running route takes you right through Glasgow, which means that the run itself can be regarded as a short sightseeing tour.
