Ready for 200 steps full of willpower? At the Gläserner Mönch Lauf in Langenstein near Halberstadt, a trail adventure awaits you that combines challenge, nature and history in a unique way. The route takes you over roads, cobblestones, dirt tracks, trails and a staircase with around 200 steps. You can expect over 100 metres of elevation gain per lap - a real test for body and mind.

You can choose between different distances:

- 4.5 km: Beginner's run without an ascent, ideal for beginners.

- 5 km: A lap with an ascent over the Gläserner Mönch.

- 10 km: Two laps for experienced runners.

- 15 km: Three laps for those who want to take on the full challenge.

For the youngest there is a 500 m bambini run (age group 6+7) and a 1500 m children's run (age group 8+9). A 5 km walking competition is also on offer.

The Glass Monk, a striking rock formation, is not only the namesake but also the highlight of the course. According to legend, a monk was turned into stone as a punishment - today he challenges you to scale his heights.
