Description
There are very few trail runs and mountain runs that can compete with the Eiger Ultra Trail in Grindelwald (Switzerland). You can expect an extreme trail run that is a tough test even for experienced trail runners. Even the introductory run on the Eiger Ultra Trail is 16 km in length and 960 metres in altitude. This definitely makes the Eiger Ultra Trail one of the supreme disciplines in trail running.
The Eiger Ultra Trail leads across the stage locations Grosse Scheidegg, First, Berghotel Faulhorn, Schynige Platte, Wengen, Männlichen, Kleine Scheidegg and along the traverse under the north face of the Eiger. The Eiger Ultra Trail thus offers participants a unique mountain ambience. The centrepiece of the Eiger Ultra Trail is the E101 (101 km) with an incredible 6,700 metres in altitude. However, the other routes, such as the E51 (51 km), also have a lot to offer with 2,680 metres in altitude. The trails on the Eiger Ultra Trail take you through forests, small gorges and lush meadows.
