Description
The Burgwald Fairytale Marathon is already a well-established running event, as the marathon is being organised for the sixth time this season. The Märchen Marathon is held in Rauschenberg, which is located in Hesse and calls the Burgwald its home. Although the Burgwald Märchen Marathon is still so young, it was able to welcome 1,000 participants right from the start who did not want to miss out on this fairytale running event.
There are five different running distances to choose from at the Burgwald Fairytale Marathon. This means that the Burgwald Fairytale Marathon is aimed at runners of all abilities, from beginners to very experienced ultra runners. There is a 5 km run, a 10 km fun run, a half marathon, a marathon and an ultra run. With the exception of the 5 km and the 10 km run, all running routes lead directly through the Burgwald forest and therefore have some challenging trail running passages to offer. In addition to the tough running distance, you also have to conquer 779 metres of altitude in the ultra run.
