With over 5,000 starters, the Bottwartal Marathon in Steinheim an der Murr (north of Stuttgart) is one of the largest marathon events in the whole of Baden-Württemberg. The Bottwartal Marathon has been organised since 2004 and has since been named Marathon of the Year in Baden-Württemberg several times. The great popularity of the Bottwartal Marathon is due to the wide range of running distances, the fantastic running course and the great atmosphere that prevails at the Bottwartal Marathon, even off the course.
There are five different running distances to choose from at the Bottwartal Marathon. From a 10 km fun run to a half marathon and a marathon as well as a 54.8 km ultra run, the Bottwartal Marathon offers every kind of running distance to make the hearts of advanced competitive runners beat faster. These are paired with a fantastic running course, so that there is no way around the Bottwartal Marathon for you as a competitive runner. The crowning finale is the finish in the centre of Steinheim. Here you will be greeted by thousands of spectators who will give you a big round of applause, making it an unforgettable finish.
