The Blankenese Heroes' Run is a traditional running event in Hamburg, which is organised in the idyllic Hamburg district of Blankenese. Due to the fantastic running route, the Blankenese Heroes' Run is one of the most beautiful half marathons in Germany, which is why it is no wonder that this running event has been organised for over 20 years now. The motto of the Heroes' Run is: ’Race against container giants!’

There are three distances to choose from at the Blankeneser Heldenlauf. You can take part in the 6.7 km, the 11 km or the 21.1 km half marathon. All running routes have one thing in common: they lead directly through the beautiful Hamburg idyll on the Elbe. You can look forward to fantastic riverside promenades, spacious parks, unique patrician villas, white fishermen's cottages, picturesque hills and steep steps. You can always enjoy a fantastic view of the Elbe and the huge ships. The ships are also what give the Blankeneser Heldenlauf its motto. So if you want to enjoy a great sporting competition and an impressive running backdrop at the same time, there is no way around the Heldenlauf in Hamburg.
