Distances on offer

The Bismarck Tower Run offers various distances that are suitable for both beginners and experienced runners:

• 10-kilometre run: start at 11:00.
   
• 5-kilometre run: Start at 11:05 am.
   
• Children's run over 1,000 metres: Start at 12:00 noon.

Route description

The running routes lead through the picturesque Stuckenberg, a wooded area known for its varied paths and proximity to the Bismarck Tower. The 5- and 10-kilometre routes offer both flat sections and slight climbs, ensuring a varied running experience.

Start and finish

The start and finish area is located near the Bismarck Tower. Please note that direct access to the start area by car is not possible. A limited number of parking spaces are available at the Hotel Waldesrand (Zum Forst 4, 32049 Herford).

Changing rooms and sanitary facilities

Changing rooms and toilets are available at the start/finish area. Please note that there are no shower facilities.

An event for the whole family

The Bismarck Tower Run takes place as part of the Herford Bismarck Tower's end-of-season event. In addition to the sporting activities, a varied supporting programme will provide food and entertainment so that accompanying persons and family members will also get their money's worth.

Registration and limited number of participants

Pre-registration is required as the number of participants is limited. For every registered runner, Volksbank will donate an additional amount to climate and environmental protection projects in Herford.
