Description
Imagine running through the historic streets of Halberstadt, past impressive half-timbered houses and over the characteristic cobblestones of the old town - at the Halberstadt Old Town Run, this idea becomes reality.
You can choose between different distances: 4.6 km or 9.3 km. The course consists of an approx. 2.3 km circuit, most of which runs over old town cobbles and water-bound paths. There are two laps for the 4.6 km and four laps for the 9.3 km. There is also a Bambini run over 800 metres and a children's run over 1,600 metres. A 4.6 km Nordic walking circuit is also on offer.
The charitable aspect of the run is particularly noteworthy: €1 per participant is donated to the preservation and renovation of Halberstadt's half-timbered old town.
After the run, you can fortify yourself in the coffee garden or barbecue garden and enjoy the special atmosphere. The Halberstadt Old Town Run is more than just a sporting event - it is a run for the community and the preservation of the city's cultural identity.
