Description
The Altmühl Trail in Dollnstein is a wonderful cross-country run that takes you over hill and dale. There are two routes to choose from on the Altmühl Trail, 9 km and 26 km in length, making the Altmühl Trail suitable for beginners as well as experienced trail runners.
The routes on the Altmühl Trail around Dollnstein run along hiking trails and paths and are mostly off the beaten track. You run along craggy rocks, through extensive forests and over juniper-covered dry slopes. This makes the Altmühl Trail an impressive landscape run. On the 26 km long running route, you can expect around 600 metres of elevation gain, making this trail run a real sporting challenge.
