Imagine running through the idyllic Zusam valley, past blooming meadows and through shady forests - the Altenmünster half marathon offers you exactly this experience of nature.
Whether you opt for the 5 km, 10.5 km, 15.5 km or the 21.1 km - each route takes you through the ‘Western Forests’ nature park and combines tarmac, gravel and forest paths to create a varied running experience.
The routes are not only scenic, but also challenging. The half marathon takes you through three districts: Augsburg, Dillingen and Günzburg. You will pass through picturesque villages such as Baiershofen, Rechbergreuthen and Winterbach.
There are special 5 km and 10.5 km routes for Nordic walkers, and even four-legged friends are welcome - water bowls are provided at the refreshment stations.
After the run, a warm atmosphere awaits you at the Altenmünster sports ground with culinary offerings and the opportunity to socialise with other runners.
