Description
The 10 Ponds Marathon in Goslar can already look back on over 11 years of tradition. Participants can look forward to four distances at the 10 Ponds Marathon: marathon, half marathon, an 11.5 km beginners' marathon and a 5.6 km mini marathon. Nature lovers in particular will get their money's worth at the 10 Ponds Marathon, as the race runs mainly through the countryside.
The course of the 10 Ponds Marathon leads through an impressive landscape of forests, meadows and lakes. There are also single trails on the marathon and half marathon course with marvellous views of the Harz foreland. As a participant, you will only be running on asphalt roads on a few parts of the track. This means that you can enjoy a unique cultural landscape. The water stored in the ponds was the source of power for the water wheels of the Upper Harz mining pits. The unique water management system is now even a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So you can look forward to a fantastic running experience surrounded by nature.
